Ja, ja ich weiß die guten Vorsätze, aber ich war einfach die letzten Tage so beschäftigt mit unserer kleinen Ausstellung am Sonntag, dass ich einfach nicht die Zeit gefunden habe euch mit unserer neuen Kolumne "I´m quick get away..." zu überraschen...deswegen dürft ihr euch jetzt zum Wochenende gleich über zwei spannende und inspirierende neue Posts freuen...;)...
Heute bin ich mal schnell weg und verliere mich in den wunderbaren Illustrationen des kreativen Projekts "The Exquisite Book" von Julia Rothman, Jenny Volvoski und Matt Lamothe...eine erstaunliche Kooperation von 100 Künstlern, Illustratoren und Designern, die jeweils jeder eine ganz individuelle Seite für dieses Buch gestaltet und dabei immer nur die letzte Seite vor ihrem eigenen künstlerischen Beitrag gesehen haben. Das erinnert mich an dieses Spiel, das wir als Kinder immer so gerne spielten. Man zeichnet auf ein mehrmals gefaltetes Blatt zuerst den Kopf einer Fantasiegestalt, knickt es um und gibt das Blatt weiter in der Runde. Der Nächste malt dann den Oberkörper, Beine und so weiter...und am Ende entstehen ganz eigene witzige Figuren... dieses Projekt entstand auch in Anlehnung an das im Surrealismus als "Cadavre Exquis" bezeichnete Spiel...erstaunlich, was man alles so schnell lernen kann, oder?
Neben der Aufgabe die Geschichte weiter zu erzählen, musste jeder Künstler auch einer horizontalen Linie folgen...die sich wie der rote Faden durch dieses "visuelle Abendteuer" zieht...ein wunderbares Projekt voller Poesie und ich bin ganz "hin und weg" und komm bei dem Videoclip "The Exquisite Book" ins Träumen...möchte mich hineinzaubern in diese unentdeckten Welten...pure Phantasie...einfach schön...und welche Phantasien lassen euch heute aus dem Alltag träumen?... Yes, yes I know the good intentions, but I was just the last few days so busy with our little show on Sunday that I just did not find the time to surprise you with our new column, "I'm quick get away ..." therefore you shall look forward just over to two exciting and inspiring new posts for the weekend ...;)...
Today, I´m quick get away and lose myself in the wonderful illustrations of the creative project "The Exquisite Book" by Julia Rothman, Jenny Volvoski and Matt Lamothe ... an amazing collaboration by 100 artists, illustrators and designers who have each designed an entirely individual page for this book and always seen only the previous page before their artistic contribution. This reminds me of that game we played as kids and always love so much. You draw up on a multi-folded sheet first time the head of a fantasy figure, bent it and gives it further into the round. The neighbor then paint the upper body, legs and so on ... and there are very own funny characters in the end ...The project was also based on this game (designated as "Exquisite corpse" in the Surrealism) ... amazing what you can learn so quickly, right?
Besides continuing the story, each artist also had to follow a horizontal line ... which is the icon through this "visual adventure" ... a wonderful project full of poetry and I'm quite "get away" and begin to dream because of this video clip "The Exquisite Book"...would conjure me into these unexplored worlds...pure fantasy ... just beautiful ... and which fantasies let get you quick away from the everyday life?...
